WindowWellStore.com offers the complete line of Wellcraft Egress Approved vinyl window wells and well covers. Wellcraft is a highly trusted and commonly requested manufacturer making dependable, easy-to-install, maintenance-free, IRC code approved vinyl window wells. According to the 2006 International Residential Code you are required to to have an egress escape route for any habitable basement room. To help prevent the possibility of someone falling into an open window-well a cover is highly recommended. Window well covers are available in 4 different styles.

Egress Window-Wells

Wellcraft window-wells are offered in 4 unique styles. The #5600 and #2060 units are compatible with 4' wide or smaller egress window openings, the #2062 works with a 3' or smaller opening, and the #2067 works with a 5' or smaller opening. Variable height units are the #5600 and the #2070; fixed height units are the #2060 and the #2062. The #5600 is offered in gray only and is the most popular unit nationwide. All other units are offer in 2 color choices, Granite Gray or Sandstone.

Window-Well Covers

In order to meet egress requirements today's window wells are considerably larger than in the past. With that in mind you will most likely want to add a cover to your window wells. Though not technically a requirement, we have found that the vast majority of customers who install egress windows wells will purchase a cover. Rated to safely hold up to 500 pounds (350 pounds for the dome), a window well cover offers safety and assurance people or animals accidentally falling in.
